9:09 PM|hey folks! well... i am heading off to bed so i can get up early to head to boulder!!! have a great trip (okay. that's sad.... i just wished myself to have a great trip - when i really meant "have a great weekend") - not that nervous about flying even though it IS the first time since pre-9.11

that reminds me.... gotta buy Dramamine!!!

let me try this again:
have a great weekend!!!!

9:29 AM|well... i told them at work this morning about the flight thing and my creative director rocks... said we've all been working really hard and we can't be expected not to have a life... so i am going to TRY to come in after i get into newark and put a few hours in....

anyone know how much parking at newark airport is? long term?

long term = about $8 a day

11:28 PM|F*CK!

well... idiot (for those of you who aren't familiar, that is me.) didn't look at the e-ticket that delta sent about an effing month ago... i mean i glanced at it... but did i read it? no.

all is swell for friday. great - leave at 8:20am get into denver at 12:31pm. fine

tonight as i was on the phone with jenn... i notice FOR THE FIRST TIME that my return flight is sunday morning at 12:40AM.... A. M.

no!
that can't be!

so i call delta - no help at all.

the 5:30pm flight that sunday (which i was SUPPOSED TO BE ON!) is booked except for a $1500 first class ticket. eh... no.

so long story short - tried turning on the waterworks to get sympathy....didn't work. cold-hearted *@&!#$*

i am now flying out of denver at 8:35AM... getting into newark at 4:15PM on MONDAY. monday... and had to pay another $100 service charge.

missing another day of work. am so screwed. *sigh*

10:12 PM|remember the "new assistant" that started working for us yesterday? well... she never came in today -- said "it's not like i thought it would be.... too many hours"

um... jeez... she came in at 11am and left at 5pm yesterday and didn't have any work to do yesterday except learn some of the ropes...

sheesh

guess i can look forward to another day in the future when i get another free Thanksgiving on a Roll! wheeeee!

12:33 PM|yay!! word on the street has it that the comic strip live has been asking about me and wondering where i have been hiding!!!!

i am DEFINITELY getting back onstage in the fall after the company's site launches!!!

8:17 AM|*sigh* i feel like a schmuck... yesterday was clayton's birthday

and i missed it...

happy [belated] birthday to ya' my caffeinated friend!

8:13 AM|

what complete Asszillas...

guess the godzilla v. Mothra, King Kong, Gigantis and all the big time monsters got a little boring for good ol' GZ...

hey... maybe GOD is pissed that he is associated with a monster...eh? think of that? since he can't use the word "zilla"...

wish God would write them a letter saying "It has come to my attention that you have been using my name along with the word Zilla. I fear that this will cause people to misconstrue that I am associated with monsters... if you do not drop the God part by August 15th, 2002... you will die"

ermmmm.... or something like that

12:17 AM|feeling nauseous and headachy for some reason.

heat? maybe.
not enough water today? possibly.

the italian sub i ate at 8pm (sans lettuce and onions - just oil, vinegar, tomatoes, ham, provolone and capicola) - the meat on it seemed a little odd & overly mushy... did i mention it was not refrigerated since 12 noon and was sitting on my windowsill...???

i'm going to die, aren't i?

11:27 AM|

heh... thank you quinn for the ringing endorsement!!!

10:12 AM|hmmmm.... doesn't seem like a goody two goody two goody goody two shoes anymore...

"[Adam Ant]strode into the Prince of Wales pub in north London dressed in a cowboy hat and combat jacket and with a starting gun in his pocket."

okay - so he had a gun... okay there tough guy...

or not so tough...

"His composure evaporated when customers began giggling at his outfit and mocked him by humming the theme from the spaghetti Western "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly."

i guess the best thing to do when confronted by an armed former pop-star is just start mocking his clothes until he then leaves the pub and later flings "a car alternator through the pub's window."

"During his 1980s heyday, he styled himself as the "Dandy Highwayman," dressing in knee-length leather boots and frilly shirts, wearing Red Indian war paint across his cheeks."

oh, but NOW he can't take people mocking his cowboy hat!??!

7:18 AM|Asian Brown Cloud

didn't Hendrix write about it?

Asian Haze
{cough?}
Asian haze all in my brain
Lately things just don't seem the same
Actin' funny, but I don't know why
'Scuse me while I start to die
Asian Haze all around
Don't know if the sun's comin' up or down
Am I happy or in misery?
What ever it is, that smog put a spell on me
Help me
Help me
Oh, no, no
[faint, spoken lyrics...all questionable probably talking about chicken soup since he's sick]
Convulsin'
Talkin' 'bout heart 'n'...l-lungs
I'm talkin' about hard stuff
If ever-bodys still around, this disease, is
So far out my mind
Somethings happening, somethings happening
Ooo, ahhh
Ooo, {click} ahhh,
Ooo, ahhh
Ooo, ahhh, YEAH!
Asian haze all in my eyes, uhh
Don't know if its day or night
You got me blowin', blowin' my mind
Is it tomorrow, or just the end of time?
Ooo
Help me
Ahh, yea-yeah, asian haze, yeah
Oh, no, oh
Oh, help me
Asian haze, Tell me, baby, tell me
I can't go on like this
Asian haze
You're makin' me blow my mind...mama
Asian haze, n-no, nooo
Asian haze, no, its painful, baby

9:44 PM|hmmmm.... this just in from the avon walk... WHAT THE HELL!??!?:

Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day Route Update

We're very excited to announce that the New York 3-Day is on track to be the biggest 3-Day ever - more than 9,000 people are currently registered! This means that the event will have an enormous impact on the fight against breast cancer - sending a huge amount of funding to the cause, and raising breast cancer awareness in New York and nationwide.

A large event means that we are making some adjustments to the route. Safety is always our first priority, and we want to ensure that the thousands of walkers that will be taking this amazing journey can do so safely. To that end, we're also excited to announce that Nyack Hospital has signed on as the medical sponsor of the New York 3-Day, providing medical crew and care for the event.

We have confirmed that Day Zero and Opening Ceremonies will be held at the beautiful Rockland Lake State Park in Congers, NY. where the hell is that? it was supposed to be Bear Mountain! Our team is still working to find the perfect spot for Closing Ceremonies, but we do know that it will not take place in Manhattan or any of the five boroughs of New York City what!? hmmmmph... odd - they've known about 9/11 for a year - it WOULD be cool if they marched us into liberty state park... i could just take a left and walk 100ft and go home, since increased post-9/11 security measures combined with the amount of participants involved make bridge access difficult. The rest of the route details will be finalized in plenty of time for the event, and communicated to you beforehand.

Because of the size of the event, our choice of safe campsites is limited. We have chosen to have one campsite for both nights of the event eh... excuse me? are we walking in a circle? how can this be if we are walking forward? cripes - it was supposed to be 2 campsites.... We used this plan earlier this year for the Chicago 3-Day, and it worked wonderfully. Participants were glad that they only had to set their tent up once!

We're working diligently to make the New York 3-Day an amazing journey that you'll remember for a long time to come. Thanks for your continued commitment to the fight against breast cancer. And keep up your fundraising and training. We're looking forward to seeing you in October!

i am not trying to sound like a jerk, but, um... this is a tad off kilter from what the original plans were.

8:19 PM|got home from at 7... threw on the shorts and tee and sneaks.... just got back from walking 2 miles around jersey city... okay... so i have blisters on my heels... that's okay! feel great!! only have to work my way up to 20 miles a day by october 11th!!!!
