highlight of the commute

okay, so i failed to mention that weird things happen on the parkway - especially in decent weather (mainly in decent weather) when the windows are rolled down and such...

what happened?


well, today i had a guy driving next to me with his friend... they were in some silver nissan or something... anyway, they kept driving close to my car and honking... okay, um, what the? i look over and the one guy yells over to me (at 70 mph) "Were you on The Real World on MTV!??"

okay, i shook my head no and wondered who the hell they could have mixed my up with - or even what season they were talking about...

cut to last thursday driving down (i failed to mention this because i was flustered after the break-in at my landlord's place last thurs)

from around mile marker 153 all the way down to exit 117 there was this yellow & black suv trailing me and sidling up to my car... of course, they caught me caterwauling at the top of my lungs to cowboy mouth... anyway, there were 2 guys... pretty cute, too, i must say... anyway, that whole parkway car flirting thing ensued... you know how the boys chase the girls, well, they were chasing me at 85 mph (top speed during rush hour...) and also kinda weirding me out when we were stuck in traffic (not all that keen when i feel people i don't know, staring at me)... turns out this one fella is named Anthony and wanted to know my cell number (eh... no.) wanted to tell me i "was gorgeous" -- erm... thank you... that kinda talk is gonna make me get flustered and drive off the side of the road, mister...

anyway... he yells "do you have email!?"... so i said "go to gigglechick.com" and then he smiled... and he said "does that mean YOU'RE single?" and i smiled because i was thinking 'what the hell does that have to do with my domain name' -- then they exited the parkway and i realized with all of the wind and driving and other car noises, he thought i said "singlechick.com"

oh well... i don't exactly make a habit of the car flirting.... although, it's happened a lot on the parkway lately.

(and no, i am not about to go stopping at the parkway reststops... thank you very much)
