okay - i want more questions - if you have a blog or not... send 'em in, folks... in the meantime - here're some answers...
** i am posting all Q&A's here as they come in**
jacques asks:
1. Have you ever stolen a design idea to meet a deadline?
nope - i've never stolen a design - i may have used small elements from another design and incorporated them into a finished piece, but never have blatantly stolen one - i've had 4 designs of mine actually copied/lifted exactly from my code - and on one occasion, the idiot never changed the images so they still said "gigglechick" - dum-dum
2. What do you really expect from a native mississippian (just the fact that they need so many letters to categorize them would seem a hint...)
well... yeah... but he'd gone to a couple of decent schools (so he said) and i assumed he wasn't a liar
3. Have you ever blatently lied to a guy the way CMB seems to have treated you?
can't say as i have. well, when i was 17 i was dating a guy and then i went away to college between jr & sr year of high school and met a guy who i wound up hanging out with for 2 months (kissyfacing) but i couldn't keep up the lie - so i broke up with both
logtar asks:
1)What was the first car you ever owned, or drove regularly (even if it was your parents)?
ah.... i wanted a convertible vw beetle... dad surprised me and bought me a hardtop 1975 red beetle with a sunroof... i did the only brat "but i wanted a convertible!" thing and the next week he bought me the 1971 ragtop as well... bother were red. the convertible would run 1 mile then break down and the hardtop was in an accident about 3 months after i got it. then dad bought me a 1988 chevy beretta :)
2)Who would you rate as the best baseball player ever?
personally, i love paul o'neill. but gotta go with #7, baby.
3)Have you ever gone on a date wearing no underwear?
nope. can't say as i have. i've left a date wearing no underwear though :)
Susan asks:
1. If you could choose anywhere but NJ as home, where would it be?
ah... well, definitely ireland. loved galway and dublin - would most likely choose dublin or kinsale.
2. What do you like/dis-like about your job?
ah, i love being paid to draw/design... the people i work with are top notch folks... i dislike my review that i had this year...
3. How did you come about to start blogging?
well, i've had my website (gigglechick.com, of course) since 1999 when i started doing stand up... i posted weekly (or sporatic actually) "rants" in my rants section
one day in may 2001, my friend irene who i used to work with at xceed, wrote me an email saying "i like your blog"
i was like, what the hell is a blog? at the time i searched for everything on dogpile... through that, i found blogger and on may 15th, 2001 i started the blog section...
gosh, 3 year blogiversary is coming up in a couple of weeks!!! anyone else want to meet up with me at the 9th avenue food festival that day!?
Kate asks:
1. What is your earliest memory?
when my neighbor's son offered me an apple, i remember standing up in the crib and looking at him and the apple - i was in a crib. so that was pretty young.
2. When will you be doing stand-up again?
i stand up every day... oh wait, you mean on a stage/audience/2 drink minimum? yeah. no plans as of yet.
3. How old were you when you knew that you wanted to be an artist?
when i was 3 and won a clown drawing competition at some hotel in lancaster, pa... plus i had artists all throughout my family, so it was just a given, i guess.
