hey hey hey! thank all y'all who wished me well on my birthday yesterday!! you rock!
we had a great time at great adventure (no photos, because i didn't want to get my camera wet or smashed), although, i think i am getting older because the first ride we went on was the "spin meister" (formerly known as - and i still call it - the "Enterprise") -- now i've been going on this thing since i was 3 or 4 and no problems... but wouldn't you know it, i get off and my stomach's like "WTF!?" and my legs turned to spaghetti...
did hit rolling thunder a number of times, scream machine, hell yeah... batman, nearly killed us tummy-wise... congo rapids (aka "roaring rapids") was keen.... soaking wet after that... and there're these water guns on one section of the ride that folks on the outside can pay a quarter to shoot blasts of water at you...
eh... the rhb and i must have spent $15 shooting people... and a few people that were standing next to us were like "so, are your friends on that boat?"
nope. we were just shooting strangers... and it didn't mess with our equilibrium
did FreeFall... that scares the hell out of me every damned time i'm on it...
our brains listened to the bellies and said "eh... no superman ride, no nitro, and no medusa..."
but we did go on the batman & robin ride.... holy hell that was awesome!!! nearly snapped my neck off on that 20 second ride... but well worth it... stunned me so much that i couldn't speak for about 3 minutes... which the rhb was happy about :)
anyway - all in all walked around the park a number of times (because kids were still in school, there really were no lines... not crazy lines as usual), got my ass kicked in skeeball (all except one game... pathetic), have a couple of small stuff animals that i didn't abandon at the park and had a great birthday...
couldn't have asked for a better day!
