so yesterday i went and paid my respects to kate's dad... it was good to see her - although not great circumstances.
then i drove up to e. brunswick to mike's place... and we drove over to new hope, pa... by the time we got there it was around 4:30ish... so we grabbed a couple of pints at the triumph brewery there and then walked around a bit...
we got hungry so we went to Mother's restaurant... you would think that it'd be comfort food. it wasn't. you would think it'd be cheap food. it wasn't. you would think that with a name like "mother's" it'd be good food. it really wasn't. he ordered stuffed shrimp and it came out to the table covered with cheese. cheese!! yuck.
my ny strip steak was the fattiest ickiest piece of meat... anyway.... blech.
the waiter was this bitchy guy who growled "oh. just go home and have sex, then." when we said we didn't want dessert. eh... okay.
anyway... all in all, i like new hope. have for years... just won't go to mother's again.... although the baked brie with raspberry coulis and almonds was a decent app.
saw that the damned team i am "not rooting for" won... so i will not say that i am "pleased" about that... or that they have only 3 more to go...
got home this morning and now have to clean... seeing as i have absolutely no time during the week to do so... but all i want to do right now is nap and watch football... it's a nice gray day for doing that...
