okay... now, get this... i just got a call.....
i've been "selected to perform on September 27th in the HBO Aspen Show at the NY Improv"
what does this mean? it means i am going to do 6 minutes in the 9pm show at the Improv... they select only a handful of comics to do this in front of the HBO folks (of course, REGULAR audience folks are welcome to come!!!)
how did this happen? there was an HBO chick in the audience during the new talent showcases i'd done via theindustryroom.com (prior to gigglemom going into the hospital)
the HBO people that will be at the show on the 27th then have say as to whether or not i move on to the Aspen Comedy Festival in (i think) March. but supposedly there's other industry there as well...
of course, you do realize that even if gigglemom has a quadruple bypass i am still performing (especially since when i just called her to tell her, she replied "i don't find that to be good news. you're a horrible daughter. i want you moved out of the house by monday.")
