someone's looking out for me today.
woke up at 6:45 (dog alarm again. I set her 15 minutes earlier though)
rushed like hell... left the house at 7:23 (ack!) and hightailed it to long branch.. I got to the station at 7:52... my train that gets me into the city at 9:19 leaves at 7:51. dammit.
so I drove around the lot 2x looking for a spot. parked. then saw people milling on the platform... hmmm. odd.
then I heard the whistle of the train!!! the 7:51 was late!!!
I made like a flock of seagulls and ran. I ran so far to the train. seriously, if there was a commuter 5k, and they peppered the course with train timetables and sporadically piped in the train whistle - it's a pavlovian response for me to run.
anyway... I made the train. granted there's a slight delay (apparently 20 min up north because the bridge was up due to marine traffic.)
I have to switch in newark so i'd better get my nap on now.
