okay - not sure where to start....
let me begin with the part that flabbergasts me... and then segue into the sad part....and then back to the flabbergasting bit
(before i "lead off", let me also begin with saying how much i LOVE being able to preview the comments before they post --- that is, IF i allow them to post.... let me also say that i am PMSing....)
that said... i received an email from "Shawn" in reference to my mammogram post:
"you should choose your words more wisely.I enjoy your site but,I was offended by the word MAMMY!I am african american."
first off, i am glad you enjoy my site... but, shawn, let me say that i DID choose my words quite "wisely" --- see, it was (and i am not sure if you caught the "connection") to play off the word "mammogram"... while also coming up with a title that took lyrics from a song... and when i say song, i DO NOT mean one of THESE.
for a couple of other folks to growl at who've used the phrase "Mammy, how I love ya" as a title for something non-racial:

• the wang family
and as i said, now i am posting the sad part of this --- which, would have been by itself until i received that comment from Shawn....**
ROSA PARKS passed away at the age of 92.
so, Shawn, thanks... thanks for playing the race card and attempting to twist my blog into something that it is not... thank you for trying to make it seem like i was being some sort of Hitler youth/KKK/White Supremecist because i titled my MAMMOGRAM post using the term "Mammy"
i mean, it's not like i donned blackface and started yapping about squishing my boobies....
