this morning i got up and headed off to the spring lake boardwalk again... you know, for my marathon training.
so i wound up walking 3.6 miles. which if you remember my last "training" session 2 weeks ago, i walked 2.8 miles... the one 2 weeks ago i didn't have my ipod on or anything... this time i did - and i'd bought a CardioCoach CD which i imported onto the ipod... gave me a half hour of get-your-ass-in-gear type of training... so that felt good. did the half hour thing on the first leg of the walk, then i listened to about 35 minutes of the Success Principles by jack canfield.
i have to tell ya' - it's gotten me thinking a bunch... it's a good kick in the seat of the pants
anyway - i haven't been on here much over the past week and a half because i've been working my tail off.
what's been going on? well, last weekend i hightailed it out to Lafayette, Colorado to see my friend Jenn who i went to high school with... she'd gotten married in Reno on oct 24th and her mom had a reception for her and her husband eric. My first time meeting him - and i approve... seems like a swell egg. (will get my photos up tomorrow)
after the reception we went to some bar in Niwah (i think) all i know is i wound up drinking Dirty Nuts all night (or for those of you without your head in the gutter, Toasted Almonds) unfortunately most os saturday was spent on Jenn's couch or next to the toilet praying to God.
then last sunday before i wound up sitting in denver airport for a few hours, i met up with Susan of Colagrl fame - after reading her site for years and sharing a birthday with her, i finally met her! awesome! unfortunately we only had an hour or two to kill before i had to head to the airport - but we did breakfast and it was fantastic to meet this chick... (again... photos will be posted tomorrow. she's got pics up on her site - but, i must tell you, i was haggard looking)
in any event, i wanted to take a sec to finally sit down and post... i've been slacking.
now i am going to pass out... perhaps i will walk 4 miles tomorrow.
