awesome weekend, folks! saturday i went up to the city (that's new york city, kids.) and went to the Comedy Cellar with my friend annmarie. My one client, Tom Papa, got me into the sold out 9:15 show (tom, gregg rogell, jim norton, greg giraldo and a couple of others) then i hung out after to meet up with one of my other clients that i do some design work for - you may have heard of a fella named Dave Attell (he's the bearded one. Tom's the googly eyed one. click for larger photos...)
so we're sitting there at the bar and dave bought us cheesecake - which was deeeeelicious. of course, i had the fear of Alli kicking in and me crapping the cheesecake out right there and then at the bar.
luckily, that didn't happen :}
was introduced to a few other comedians, i gave my card to, so it'd be keen to get a call for a site or two.
sunday i went over to my friend fran's house to meet up with her and my friend jude. we're going to boston in a few weeks. so, we did some dinner and yapped about what day we're doing the Freedom Trail.
Lo and behold, they brought out an ice cream cake to celebrate my birthday (again... fear of Alli... but i ate a piece... or two :}
it was all very keen.
in any event, cheese & ice cream cakes and mexican food be damned....
i'm now 198.3 as of this morning. for an 11.9 loss so far --- woo!!

Heck yes! Now you really got me considering the Alli... eating cheesecake surely would have scared the crap out of me! But I'm so glad all went well.

Boston, eh? Let me know when and, if you and your friend are up for it, perhaps I can buy you a drink in the North End or in one of the Irish pubs at Faneuil Hall if I'm in town (I'm 30 minutes from Beantown).
Or, DON'T tell me and sneak into town and out again before I know it so I can hold it against you for years. ;)

How COOL! What an awesome weekend chica! Hey....I am thinking you are starting to sell me on that Alli stuff, for sure. hhhhmmmm....I am going to have to ask my doc about it and see if it will interact with any of my meds I take. If not, I am going to give it a go. Have a great week!
[note from GC: check out the alli site - the message boards at myalli.com - there are a lot of posts about people on different meds. they don't affect anti-baby vitamins or anti-depressants.]

You met Dave Attell? That's awesome! Talk about a kick-ass birthday! I mean, cake and thoughtful friends and all of that are wonderful, blah, blah, blah, but Dave Attell? Wow!
Happy birthday (again)! We need to hang so I can buy you a drink to celebrate! Maybe when you get back from Boston so you can entertain me with stories about all of the RHB you meet up there!
