okay. my pc is still at "the doctor". praying that i get it back on monday.
i've been hooked on watching The Biggest Loser reruns on Style network.
so, prior to me picking up my dinner from Outback (salmon & steamed broccoli) i headed over to barnes & noble and picked up a diet journal and an exercise journal.
then as i was looking up calories for the stuff i've chowed on today, i went to CalorieKing.com and wound up signing up for their thing (for a year) - yes, i am also on the weight watchers site and sparkpeople (i'm kinda inactive on there)
anyhoooooooo... i'm chilling here at home tonight watching the Blue Collar Tour guys (actually, i like them. do not beat me to death) and reading and seeing how i can become anorexic for a week (JOKE. there's no way in hell.)
oh. and i'm addicted to swelltown.
(i bet y'all are happy that my pc is dead and i can't do the vlog - hah.)

Whatchoosayin'?? (4 yapped)
Even though I've seen Ron White's act a buncha times and know the punchlines that are coming, I still laugh uproariously.
"I just flew in from Tuscon....because my manager doesn't own a globe..."
I miss Hedberg.

sweetie, i love you. you know that. but fucking diets don't work. you already know how to count calories, you already know that it's a lifestyle change that enables you to lose weight, so change your lifestyle and relationship to food! if you don't do that, you're going to continue to do this cycle.
i just lost 30lbs recently and have been able to maintain. i didn't really do anything radical. i didn't spend a ton of money and i didn't sacrifice. i simply reduced portions, watched my calorie count, and started walking my dog at night for an hour. i didn't restrict anything that i ate, i just ate far less of it (and more often, the five small meals a day thing works). the nice thing about not restricting is not feeling like you are 'doing without'.
you also have to make it convenient to have good food (and smaller portions) available to you when you get hungry. that's really important.
not trying to soapbox, just sharing what worked for me. maybe all this is already part of the WW program, i'm not sure, but just seems like you're blowing so much money!
[note from GC: thanks - actually it's mainly writing stuff down and looking at the calories - although ww has points - but it's not like a fad thing.]
