I've been there, Erin. I helped my parents clean a 1000 sq ft basement that looked like that before they moved -- absolutely floor to ceiling stuff. Granted, they lived in the house almost 30 years but it took us a while to get it all sorted, thrown and/or packed. Just try to fill one garbage bag per day, or fill a bag with old clothes & etc. for Goodwill, or remove one large item a day and put it where it needs to go. After one week you will see a big difference. You can do it! Once it is done, you will just LOVE the amount of space you have.
ummmmm.....I see clothes waaaaaay back yonder! HOW do you Get to them??

The first step towards recovery is admitting you have a problem ;)
