i watched (actually there are about 15 minutes left)
so far, Clinton is doing great --- of course, i've been reading some blogs out there that seem to want to say that Hillary thinks that a woman has less of a chance of being elected than a black man.
i just adore the way some "people" create their own translations. seriously.
talk about selective hearing and spinning. it's ridiculous.
anyway... back to Meet the Press.
She is doing awesome.
Russert even showed the PARTIAL clip of Pres. Clinton and the infamous "fairy tale" comment.
Senator Clinton did what one should do and said that he didn't play the entire lead in to the comment.
Really - it's bothering the bejeezuz out of me with the editing of things... people are saying that Clinton (Bill) was basically saying that Barack Obama's "dream" of becoming President is a fairy tale.
THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL THAT HE SAID IT IN THAT WAY.
it was about obama's stance on the war - and folks are TWISTING and turning it into a frigging racial slap in the face.
KNOCK IT OFF.
(and Al Sharpton --- don't you have anything else to do besides jump all over this --- and the Golf Channel's anchor - this week?)
As far as the MLK comment, again, that was not a racially driven bit. It was about partnership and experience. How the heck can anyone say that Sen & Pres. Clinton could be playing the race card? Hell, Bill Clinton brought the house down at Coretta Scott King's funeral.
And as far as people blasting Hillary for "playing the gender card" --- should she be pretending to be a man or something? She's speaking from her experiences as a WOMAN...
anyway... the show just ended...
this is not a political blog - and i don't pretend that it is.
but here's a message to those who are saying that Clinton is playing the race & gender card, playing the victim card, playing the crying game....
let's see... should i go with the nice, polite "please watch and read clips and transcripts in their entirety - and stop it" ?

basically i am going to tell all y'all who are salivating over any chance to pounce on her (and also listening to the voices in your heads that seem to be translating what she says INCORRECTLY) to knock it the fuck off (there... I'm not playing the gender card there am i? I didn't mean to be unladylike.)
for those of you who think that she "broke down crying" (as 90% of the folks out there are reporting....)
SERIOUSLY? YOU DO NOT KNOW FRIGGING WHAT A CRYING JAG IS. the woman choked up a little - NOT because of "being a woman" or "being exhausted" or whatever... hell, Clinton was being passionate about why she is running and what keeps her going.
whatever... actually, trying to get through to those with this Clinton hatred is like trying to talk to a brick wall.

IN MY OPINION, SEN. HILLARY CLINTON DID AWESOME ON "MEET THE PRESS" TODAY.
