dang, i didn't make it to church to get ashes. haven't missed an ash wednesday in a while.
anyway... gigglemom is still feeling punky. yet, she doesn't want to go to the hospital.
"let me see how I feel before I go there" she says. (which is like cleaning before the maid comes according to my friend peewee.)
i think that she may break down tomorrow if she's still feeling crummy

Whatchoosayin'?? (2 yapped)
I rarely miss ashes but today was so wonky - my son started Kendo lessons, had a TON of homework and the job really sucked some major moose today.
Besides, EVERY priest has had it in for me since I can remember! I remember the "pretty girls" always got delicate little crosses on their foreheads, barely even noticable, but me, ooooooh noooooo, they really dug that thumb in and gave me a HUGE blob on my forehead, I swear the thing actually had a pulse as if to warn people
"Here comes a sinner, I put extra ashes on her, UNCLEAN!!!! BEWARE!!!!"
Even now as an adult, the women in front of me have sweet little crosses and I have the pulsating black bindi blob!
Next year, I'm opting for the sack-cloth pinned to my clothes.
Hope GM starts feeling better soon, you get some rest, too, OK?
Oh and I've already broken my lenten vow, we went to Famous Freddies and I HAD to have a turtle sundae! WHAT? it was calling my name, it would have been rude to ingore it, right? Maybe if we had gone to church instead, I would have never heard the call.

I missed services too, but it was because of the 10 ft. of snow we received yesterday, which basically closed everything down.
My choir director informed me that we'll be doing the Ash Wednesday service NEXT Wednesday instead.
I wonder if that means we have to celebrate Easter a week later? 8^}
