you would have thought that i drew a cartoon of Mohammad and slapped it on a t-shirt. Ladies and gents i am not totally against Obama. At the moment i am Pro-Hillary and Pro-Making Cash. (as i said in the comments in the last post... my "I wish Obama was a Muslim" design is a lot tamer than most of the crap that some people are slapping up on cafepress) and not for nothing, i didn't call Obama a Muslim. Wasn't his campaign bitching and moaning about people thinking he is Muslim??? Let's think of it as a design that reiterates that he's NOT Muslim.
As for it being against Obama... do you KNOW how many products out there are anti-Hillary with the most sexist bullshit phrases etc on them? The woman has had thousands of emails with jokes and lies about her since the internet was born. But a lie about the Muslim thing and an email with a photo of Obama not placing his hand on his chest during the Pledge of Allegiance and an email with Obama in a photo op dressed in Somali garb and everyone is raising the pitchforks and freaking out.
I am not saying that those emails are right, or that his middle name should be said as a reason not to vote for him.
But, i AM saying that if Hillary got upset over every stupid, ignorant email/image that was sent out/created about her, the woman would never leave the house.
So when people start bitching and complaining to me about my one little "I wish Obama was a Muslim" with the actual photo of Barack with that Pastor of his, not for nothing, but, I really don't have any sympathy.
I don't care for Obama. I do think he's a smart fella. I'm sure someday he'll be President --- but, at the moment, my gut feeling is not keen on him.
I trust my gut. I feed it well and in return it growls and snarls when something seems awry.
In any event....

HA. Awwww honey, i think i started a shitstorm. I'm all for the free self expression, and i appreciate your right to say whatever the fuck you want. after all, it IS your site. :)
i just get a little tweaked when people freak out about Americans that criticize our own country. in my opinion, there's a lot to improve here. we're still the BEST, but i feel like we're losing our spit shine and that bothers me.
and frankly, i have no issues with hillary for the most part. the clintons get their fair share of scrutiny and abuse. some deserved and some not.
let's face it, when it comes to the issues, obama and hillary might as well be the same candidate. my beef with hillary is that she's resorted to old school 'politicking' with the negative attack ads (i find it SO typical in campaigns, and I'd prefer to make this about issues, not bullshit). I also find that she seems to be a little uncertain about her own identity (she seems to show different sides of herself, depending on what the poll numbers are showing). I also take umbrage to the big claims of 'experience'. I think she's reaching a bit for that. But these are minor issues (cuz let's face it, Obama doesn't have experience either), but they speak about character.
My biggest concern about Hillary is her name.
The word 'clinton' evokes such emotion in this country, especially in washington. again, some good and some bad. my concern is that if elected, her presidency will become a rehash of the latter half of the bill clinton years. i fear that those in power who dislike the clintons will use whatever means necessary to ensure that her presidency is filled with failures, stonewalls and controversy. i'm so tired of typical political behavoir when it comes to this. i can't take another 4-8 years of game playing.
i'd prefer to take a chance on someone new that brings a level of tolerance and willingness to look past ideology and try to get some shit done.
i might be wrong and we can debate this all night. politics, sex and religion. the three 'bad' topics right?
i'm not dissin ya Erin, you know that and i hope it didn't come off that way. i'm all about the intelligent discourse. it's important for us to keep open minds and discuss these things without all the emotional baggage that comes with it.
so if you were bummed by my comments, i TOTALLY apologize. :)
