sitting upstairs doing work at 2:15am...
my window is cracked open so i can get some fresh air.
as I breathe in, I smell a familiar scent.
NO!
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!!!???
I yell down in a hushed growl "Drop the frigging cigarette, woman!"
gigglemom's voice whispers up "What? I don't know what you're talking about"
I go down there and we have words.
She found a goddamned butt somewhere and was smoking it. (it was probably in one of her old ashtrays outside. i had forgotten to clean them out. dammit.)
I am fucking SO sick of this and fricking DONE with this.
D-O-N-E.
** she made it 13 hours since getting discharged from the hospital.

Whatchoosayin'?? (6 yapped)
I hate to say this, but I told ya so! You can't make her quit Erin. She is going to die smoking, sad but true....she's been a smoker for too long and at this point, I am sure she is thinking wth, I may as well continue, besides trying to quit now would probably only bring on more problems. Sorry, hun.

susan, um... yeah yep you told me so!!!!! i didn't know it myself after she started smoking in 2001 after having a double abdominal aortic aneurysm, or the time after the bifemeral bypass when she started smoking the day after she was home, or the time when she got home from the rehab in february when she was puffing again.
it's not like i don't know this. and it's not like i am the one who was trying to get her to stop. she's being an ass and she knows it.
thanks though.

sorry, not trying to be snippy, but, i'm just really angry about this whole fucking thing right now... and i know that quitting cigarettes is harder than quitting heroin (so they say.)

Oh man....That really sux. I know how ya feel, though. My dad had triple bypass surgery 5 yrs. ago and he still smokes. My brother was in a coma for a month due to liver failure & pancreatitis. Did he quit? Hell no! Soon as he got to the nursing home, he started lighting up again. I feel your pain, hon. Maybe the patch or chantix would help?
