I cannot stomach Obama. and I am a Democrat. Have been since I started voting in 1988.
I am hoping beyond hope that some miracle happens during the convention. Otherwise, I will either be writing in Hillary's name or voting DeMcCrat.

honey, i might have to stop reading your blog. sorry to say. you are sounding like a zealot and i fear that you are drinking the punch.
you obviously have the right to spout whatever you want on your blog, it's your choice and your forum, but i get worried when you start buying into some of this garbage.
just remember, that spin is easy. spin can be doctored in any way. i do this for a living, so i'm pretty clear on how virtually anything, without the context, can be played out negatively to conveniently fit another's point of view. just remember how easy that was to do for hillary.
i urge you to pay some attention to the context of these settings.
i'm not here to change your mind, that's not my job. i'm not democrat or republican, i just want the best man or woman for the job. i'd simply ask you to take a look at the alternate point of view before all this ranting.
for example:
risk : i give Obama TREMENDOUS props for even agreeing to this interview. THIS IS AN EVANGELICAL SETTING. Obama didn't stand a chance against McCain in this interview because nearly every answer he was going to give was going to be wrong for this crowd. Can you imagine a similar interview setting staged by a large group of people from the extreme left wing? there's no way that mccain agrees to it.
'above one's pay grade': Obama flat out said he's pro choice and that he really can't make decisions for other people. That's a pretty honest and non politically correct answer to give, especially in front of this room. and frankly, i'm really not interested a president's opinion on this matter. these are decisions that should be made by the people involved. (my opinion of course)
'who to consult with' : every President has advisors, that's a given. he/she is going to get their opinions and disparate points of view on each and every topic before making a decision on an issue. but at the end of the day, it's up to the President to make the final decision based on his/her morals/ethics/standards/conscience. I know that if i were placed in that position, you bet your ASS that i'd be taking all final decisions to my wife and/or mentors, especially as they relate to morals/ethics/standards/conscience. mccain gave a ridiculously pre-prepared answer in my opinion.
sorry to vent in your forum, but i'm REALLY tired of the vitriolic diatribes that go on these days (not necessarily on your site, but in public discourse). i'd so much rather hear that you don't understand someone's point of view and ask for other opinions than simply lambaste someone because you just don't like him or are being fed information from wickedly one sided sources.
