There is only one success -
to be able to spend your life in your own way.-- Christopher Darlington Morley (1890-1957)
been writing a bit this past week - not to the extent that i had thought i would (in those "inspirational journals") because i've been swamped like mad with work. and of course, the paying gigs come before the side-novel-writing-no-cash thing.
took a benedryl last night at bedtime and passed out. man alive, you (or at least, I do...) wake up with cotton mouth and a groggy almost-hangover after taking those (i only took one. because a few weeks ago when i bought these dang allergy meds, i took 2 and passed out for about 9 hours during the day. not good.
i should probably check my phone to make sure i wasn't Anti-Histamine Dialing anyone.

Did you ever get that feeling, when you play the lottery religously, that if you forgot to get tickets your numbers are going to come out that night?
Have you ever tried generic Loratadine? It's a non-drowsy allergy med.
I was on prescription Claritin and then Clarinex for years. Then last year my MD suggested I just try the generic as it is much cheaper. It works just as well for me. You can get a bonus box with two bottles (60 pills each) for about $18 at Walmart. They also carry it for a similar price at Target.
I just pop one of those babies every morning and I rarely even think of my (really horrible)allergies anymore. I've already turned a couple of people at work onto them.
One of my customers turned me onto a product called Nasal Guard. It's a gel that you take a little drop of, rub it around in your fingers and then apply it to the outside of your nostrils. It is electrostatically charged so it repels any airborne allergens and prevents them from entering your nasal passages.
It is colorless, odorless and drug-free so it won't make you drowsy. Simply apply it several times a day and before you go to bed. My friends son had really bad allergies and I told her about this product and his allergies are non-existant.
It comes in a little tube which lasts for a few months.
