my aunt called here on friday morning...
she and my uncle had headed down to the Keys (in FL) to see my cousin Kerry -- whose birthday is this sunday -- and my cousin Fran & wife Georgina and baby Hannah (not to be confused with the tropical storm Hanna that is starting to make her way up here)
anyway... Because Ike is a category 4, they're making all non-residents and folks living in mobile homes evacuate.
so, they're heading back up to naples - which, they have their closing on sunday and are coming back to NJ right after. so they were heading back home from the keys today and my cousin Ker is evacuating early on Saturday (packing up the dog & birds) and heading to Naples....
see, Ker lives in a mobile home, some call them trailers... but there are a LOT of those in the Keys, it's not like the stereotypical "oh... a traaaaailer" sort of thing.
so that's why she's gotta go and fran & georgina are heading to orlando.
so everyone will be safe and sound...
my uncle val's in naples as well, so, gigglemom's gonna give him a jingle tomorrow to see if he's heading anywhere (they could get hit hard there as well.)
right now, here in jersey, it's pouring, thundering & lightning. yay. i think it's one of the fingers off the arm of Hanna right now.
that said, heading to bed...

Im pretty sure Im going to float away with Hannah being 3 blocks from the beach and all...I dont know what I would do with a real hurricane...I hope it all turns out ok for your family :)
