man oh man, i hope all y'all who live down near Galveston and the surrounding areas are NOT effing reading this from your living room. get out.

scary. allllllllthouuuuuuuugh.... it's those crazy ass hurricanes that give us wonderful clips such as Geraldo wiping out.

in the meantime...

enjoy Paul Sanchez and Cowboy Mouth singing Hurricane Party:

COWBOY MOUTH is playing at BB Kings in NYC next thursday (sept. 18) --- I haven't seen them since Paul left the band -- debating whether or not to head up there. They may have sold out already (they usually do.)

Thank you Erin. I hope that you pray for all of us. I am in a part of Houston that didn't have a mandatory evacuation order; we were told to HUNKER DOWN and keep off of the roads so that the mandatory evacuees would not have more traffic to fight in front of them.

This is my first major hurricane to try and live through.

I live in the Medical Center area near the old Astrodome/Reliant Park. FEMA trucks have already been in place in that particular parking lot since yesterday.

This really stinks.

*UPDATE*

Currently, @ 6:20am, we have some power. Getting the holy hell whipped at us with this wind. The rain is blowing in through the bottom of the front door. Fortunate to have the power. Due to having the med center having most of the power lines underground. A few flickers here and there. I didn't sleep much. We still have a huge amount of wind to live through today. 100 mph gusts and sustained winds.

That's the update. I hope to take some photos on my cellphone and I hope my car is in one piece.

My sister also lives in Houston....she has only lost power so far but the scary part is that I heard on the news is that they may be without power for a week or two....please keep praying for everyone in Texas!!!

Ok, one more time:

I was able to take a nap. I still have power due to being in the Medical Center area...yes!

Walked around a bit and am shocked at the trees and such all over the place. My building was not as bad as others'.

Stupidly, I stubbed my toes outside because I slipped on some mud, but otherwise fine.

My car looks good, too!

Very lucky to be in my particular spot of town.
