Something you touched on in one of your posts from that week was how much nicer we all got for awhile. I remember how much more courteous people became waiting in lines, on the road, just about everywhere. But, sad to say, it didn't last for long. Human nature being what it is, we all went back to our natural state. But it was nice while it lasted.
Oddly enough, my chuch choir was scheduled to do a concert of well-known hymns at a local exposition center Friday of that week. We expected a medium turnout, but that place was packed past capacity and they kept coming. People needed something to cling to that week, and I like to think that it was part of God's plan that we were there to do just that.
Welcome to the YapFest (8 yapped)
In memory of my best friend - Michael Tamuccio - 9/11/01. R.I.P. dear bud. Keep the beer cold for me.
Not likely to forget that moment in time ... so many .... so pointless!
A photo of the pre-9/11 view of the NY skyline from my hometown of Bayonne, NJ:

Beautiful site!
If you have to do it, you might as well do it right.
