last night i had sneezed and for 20 minutes post-ahchooooo, my back felt 65% better.
then i went to bed and when i woke up, i was a 90 year old woman again with the back issue
okay... technically, i went to couch. yeah. still. i know. i know. that's probably more the culprit than the damned allergies.
i'm thinking tomorrow, i'll go get that splitter for the cable & internet (yes. that one. from a month ago.) from Comcast --- i never picked that darned thing up.
see, otherwise i won't have teevee in my room. yes, i know, i probably shouldn't have teevee on while i sleep... i guess it's sort of a nightlight that i've grown used to. been like that since '01.
i hate my bed. the frame doesn't fit it --- or it HAD fit when i'd brought it back from Aunt Judy & Uncle Fran's last year. But the frame was put together by me and my cousin Kenny and something is effed. i've tried to fix it - to no avail... so, it's giving me a complex anytime i lay down on it.
why?
WHY?
well, because anytime i move on it, the stupid one side of the bed slides off the little ledge of the frame and i roll off the bed or it CLUNKS to the floor.
i mean, reeeeeeally. thank you BED. thank you for telling me to get the hell off of you.
so there. that's one of the main reasons for sleeping on the couch.
of course, now the couch seems to be jabbing me in my back while i sleep - so that i wake up crippled.
i am NOT sleeping on the floor next.

Welcome to the YapFest (19 yapped)
Okay, this is how you fix your bed. Buy some boards -- maybe four -- just some three inch wide, pine boards from Home Depot. Cut them to the width of the metal frame, where your mattress keeps falling off. Stick them equal distance on the frame and then stick your box spring on top of those and you're all set.
:)
Better yet (as i'm assuming you don't have a table saw in your house), buy a new frame and have the mattress company come install it.
Indeed, i realize this means that actual PEOPLE come inside the house, which means GM gets growly and you have to 'spruce' a bit, but damn girl, you cannot sleep on a couch and expect that your body isn't going to get pissed at you. Your mattress is EVERYTHING.
yeah i don't have a table saw on hand.
maybe i can set up a hammock outside.
(glad to see you on here... i was hoping you weren't a train commuter, neil.)
Ever try one of those Aero Beds? They are surprisingly comfortable.
just put the mattress on the floor for now
No, I'm not a train commuter. Actually not a commuter at all any longer. Have been working from home for about a year and a half. :)
So sad about that train collision though. That happened about 15 miles away. There are reports that the engineer (who was quite young) was texting his friends about 1 minute before the collision.
Ahhhh youth.
Hey GC .. it could be worse .. you could be having a nightmare that you were trapped in a huge muffler ... and wake up EXHAUSTED ....BWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHAAAAA
.. ba-dump-a ...
..the kid was TEXTING at the controls of a moving locomotive!?!?!?!
( .. locomotive engineer for more than a few years .. that's scary! ..)
