Ouch, Erin, that must have smarted some... nice healthy red blood, though! Stitches seem to be a theme... I have some in my mouth from the dentist (ick, eating the same diet as my baby right now). Hope your finger heals quickly - that'll teach you to take on dirty BBQ equipment!
Did they use one of those funky little metal cylinders to wrap the gauze? I had index-finger stitches last summer and was mesmerized by how the nurse used that thing. It was way cool.
Hope you are mending and feeling better today.
Just curious. Did you share with the Dr. that you were taking pictures of the process to post on your blog?
I'd file assault charges against the rogue Bar-B-Q utensil! You gotta keep those things in line, next thing you know forks will be in the spoon compartment, knives will have a coup, it'll be anarchy!
Feel better soon, and lots of love to GM, too!
Welcome to the YapFest (14 yapped)

OUCH!!! And right on the bendy part of the knuckle.
Ya gotta be careful with those utensils .. I hear they get nasty when ya get 'em cornered ... ( tongue firmly in cheek here )
But you have such a pretty ring to offset the boring white bandage!
ouch lady! get that middle finger healthy soon, you have to contend with Jersey drivers like me afterall :)
Holy cats, GC! Just what you (didn't!) need!!

I know exactly how you feel. I did something similar back in 1977 or 1978.

HAHA you are so like me-- hurting yourself then immediately taking pictures of it to show people
Hmmm...I'd be curious to know what sort of kitchen utensil it was so I can avoid it at all costs!!
I hope you heal soon.
