so i get a call on my cel this morning... my cel phone rarely works indoors... thanks sprint pcs... but that's not the point...

it's my friend d@ve. calling to tell me he went to a macromedia party last night and that the band there was cowboy mouth.

craaaaaaap. noooooooooooooooo. and there i was working late then going home watching a west wing repeat... followed up with a bubble bath. yeah, you heard me... a bubble bath (mr. bubble - is there any other kind??)

thinking i gotta grab a digital camera - just to let y'all know.

so i am taking tomorrow - good friday - off and heading down to mom's for easter weekend... pleeeeease gawd don't let me devour any chocolate bunnies... that reminds me i had a dream last night that i saved 46 bunnies from a flood and piled them all onto the lime green sea kayak - the kind you kneel on and then paddled them towards a horse trailer and they all gelled together and became one of my old ponies - Tiffany.

this MIGHT have something to do with me getting a US Pony Club volunteer package in the mail last night... and i had been reflecting on my horsey past. *sigh* i miss having and riding horses. i used to be good. 3 day eventing (cross country, dressage & show jumping) also used to go fox hunting... well, maybe ONE day i will get back into it...

but for now i am someone who throws her back out by sneezing... don't know if my body could handle the impact of being thrown off again... man, that used to happen a hell of a lot.. i used to have a horse named Go Poco Pete... (poco for short)... i bought him when i was twelve years old with the savings bonds that i had collected since i was born.

i had test driven him and all was wonderful.. a great horse... excellent jumper, listened to everything i asked of him...

and then i bought him, took him back to the farm and saddled him up and the next 3 years i owned him, cripes.... he was stubborn and didn't do ANYTHING... went fox hunting and he got out off control and was racing past the master of the hounds... that isn't allowed... the hunt will shun you if you do that so i took a dive and let him run...

as it turned out, the people who sold poco had drugged him. as they had with a slew of other horses ...

ANYWAY... yapping about the horses... i have had 7 or 8 in my life... the first one was LuLu - got her when i was 1 - next was Thunder when i was 3...

then at the age of 10 on a snowy christmas morning, a saddle was under the tree and the clip clop of hooves was heard coming up the sidewalk... there was Brandy with the classic red bow around her neck...

yes. you are allowed to hate me. yes, i was a spoiled brat. i had to be. i am an only child :) it's in the cards.

the next was Poco, then Tiffany (who was GREAT we won the state championship in 1983), followed by a couple of other horses that i never bonded with really... and then i upgraded to Peppermint Schnapps (i called her Keepsake) a dappled gray thoroughbred clydesdale... my she was Yar!!!!

ok i am getting all misty eyed...

anyway, work is okay for now... we just did a big pitch that went really well and it was the first bit of creative work that i have had to do in months! i hope we get this client and i HOPE with all my heart i can keep designing for them because what i HAVE been working on has been killing any creative intinct that i had.

yay. ok well... i have to run... i am down another pound... slowly but surely, kids... oh i am planning on seeing bridget jones' diary this weekend at some point... can't wait... was SUCH a good book!

later, sniglets!
